New Romantic（新浪漫）是新浪潮里一支特别的流派，歌手通常浓妆艳抹，穿着华丽。
新浪漫简介
新浪漫除了象David Bowie 和Roxy Music 那样以视觉线索吸引人，还有他们的旋律。从Low-era Bowie 到 latter-day Roxy Music，新浪漫创作了一种圆滑的，合成的，适合于跳舞的流行音乐，这种音乐很时髦然而却十分短暂。与其它任何后朋流派相比，新浪漫更华丽并依赖于时尚。Duran Duran 是新浪漫里最后一支乐队，也是唯一一支成为巨星的乐队。 新浪漫音乐逐渐消失于1984年，但在90年代中期由Melody Maker-sponsored领导的 non-movement Romo.曾有过一段短暂的复兴。

新浪漫是新浪潮发展而来的,应该说和70年代的华丽摇滚一样,只是一段时间顺应潮流发展而来,不久就消逝的一个风格.为什么这么快消逝,因为他们就是为浪漫的80年代而生的,他的特点就必须要依赖于时髦,但是时髦总会过时的.这里面有70年代就成立的华丽摇滚乐队到80年代变为新浪漫的David Bowie(其实鲍伊搞什么都不奇怪),Roxy Music(必须听的乐队呀)以及The Sparks.有华丽摇滚的分支glitter风格的Adam and the Ants和Bow Wow Wow.还有一大把合成器流行乐队以及Dead or Alive之类的高能迪斯科乐队,甚至早起的Depeche mode...乐队太多了,这些乐队都身着反性的华丽装束,浓妆艳抹.成就了最浪漫的80年代,从这张专辑你可以了解新浪漫的一切,这么多来路的乐队,我个人认为新浪漫绝不只是视觉上这么简单
